приход В штате Луизиана: административно-территориальная единица штата. Высшим органом местной власти в приходе является избираемое населением полицейское жюри police jury. В 6 приходах действует объединенное управление города-прихода city-parish government. Первоначально штат делился на 12 округов county, границы которых совпадали с границами приходов католической церкви, установленными еще в колониальный период. С 1845 эти округа стали официально называть "приходами". В настоящее время их насчитывается 64. Восемь приходов, расположенных севернее озера Понтчартрейн Pontchartrain и восточнее р. Миссисипи Mississippi River, известны как "флоридские приходы" Florida Parishes, так как ранее входили в состав Испанской Флориды Spanish Florida. См. тж. borough, county
